What type of wax do we use?
- 100% premium grade paraffin wax for maximum fragrance retention.
Is paraffin toxic?
- Paraffin wax is NOT toxic. This is a common misconception. Items we use day to day have paraffin in/on them such as cosmetics and food.
How do you make candles last longer?
- When you burn your candle be sure you have the time to enjoy it because the entire surface should melt to the edge of the jar before you extinguish it. 2 hours will prevent tunneling (candle burns down the middle) which is difficult to recoup. Essentially you messed up your candle… bad bad
- Keep your wick short: start with ¼" before you light your candle. If the flame is bouncing or the wick gets a black nubbin (ball) on it, give the wick a trim even when it's burning. After you trim the wick, take the little black piece out of the wax with your scissors and let it continue to burn. Your candle will last a lot longer and will not have black crap (soot) all around your jar!
Safety!
Never leave a burning candle unattended
- When burning your candle place it on a sturdy/ stable, heat resistant surface.
- Keep it away from children, pets and flammable materials
- Place the candle away from drafts such as ceiling fans, breezes, windows and doors
